From the Freedom to Read project

Turning the Page: An Advocate's Guide to the Freedom to Read is a new ebook with "practical tips, personal stories, and reliable tools to help you become a confident advocate in your own school district, library, or neighborhood." There's also a video, "itself a thirty minute masterclass in fighting for the freedom to read," says Authors Against Book Bans in an email yesterday.

It was put together by people who've been the driving forces behind the Florida Freedom to Read Project, the Texas Freedom to Read Project, and PEN America’s Freedom to Read program.

To support the work behind the guide, they're asking for a donation or (if that's not possible for you) to sign up for their newsletter.

P.S. Banned Books Week is October 5–11. You can host a "Right to Read Night."
