Act fast to appeal
Harrison Richlin wrote for IndieWire a couple days ago: "As predicted, the Trump Administration has now officially taken aim at the National Endowment of the Arts by rescinding funds that were already awarded or recommended."
The Film Festival Alliance has written up new guidance for those whose NEA grant has just been terminated. For example, be aware:
- Your termination letter should say when your grant ends. You can't incur costs beyond this date.
- From the date of the termination notice, you have 7 calendar days to appeal. It's a long shot, but you may want to try.
