Chicago Public Schools: Guidance for Staying Safe & Inclusive
They'll host 'know-your-rights' trainings

U.S. Secret Service agents, seeking "an 11-year-old who posted an anti-Trump video," yesterday came to a Chicago elementary school in Back of the Yards "but were turned away by school administrators," as reported by Francia Garcia Hernandez for Block Club Chicago.
They were not Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, as initially rumored.
Chicago Public Schools’ "Guidance and Resources Regarding New Presidential Administration" will be updated frequently. The page says they are "committed to ensuring that our schools remain safe, inclusive, and welcoming educational environments."
The school district has scheduled 25 know-your-rights trainings from now through April. On the Guidance and Resources page, expand the part for "Immigration Resources For Families" to see the list of trainings.
