Webinar: Stop the Attack on Disability Civil Rights Law (Section 504)

Starting in four hours, there'll be an online briefing on an attack on disability rights.

The Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund (DREDF) says:

"DREDF will hold a Disability Community Briefing: What You Can Do to Stop the Attack on Section 504 on February 12, 2025 at 9:30 am PT / 12:30 pm ET. We will talk about the case, the next steps in the case, what the case means for us, and what you can do about it. Register for the February 12 briefing."

This is about Texas v. Becerra, the case in which 17 states sued Health and Human Services to get rid of the civil rights law known as Section 504. If your state is one of the plaintiffs (see below), ask your state attorney general to drop the case. DREDF recommends asking your local Center for Independent Living or chapter of the Arc if there's a group making such a request so you can join your voice to theirs.
