How can we use storytelling to help make radical change in our communities? We will be going over real-world examples found in the environmental justice movement, and how creative resistance has been used to connect and sustain meaningful change.

How to identify the dominant fossil fuel industry narratives — June 5, 2025

We will analyze the infused narratives created and furthered by the fossil fuel industry. Learn how it shows itself in media, cultural institutions, and academic institutions. We will also explore the strategies we can employ to counter the normalized stories, messages, and narratives that attempt to place us in these imagined worlds made by the fossil fuel industry.

How to use Social Media for Change — July 3, 2025

How do social media influencers do their thing? We will go through best practices, content planning, interview techniques, ethical storytelling, understanding analytics, and the pros/cons of different social media platforms, so you have the tools to get started.

Develop YOUR Story — August 7, 2025

This will be our "Try it all out!" session. We will tap into visionary organizing, offer peer feedback, and engage in group storytelling. We recommend attending or reviewing the materials from at least one other session before attending this one.
